这本书讲述的是三只小猪和大灰狼的故事。大灰狼绞尽脑汁用尽办法哄骗小猪出来，但是聪明的小猪没有上当。书中更将主角的性格清楚描述出来，像是小猪们发现野狼的反应，从一开始的惊吓，到后来的窃窃私语、不屑的神情等不同的情绪反应。“小猪和野狼”这个耳熟能详的组合，又重新做了一个特别的诠释。

“Anyone for ice cream?” said a furry, friendly voice.
“有谁要吃冰淇淋吗？”传来一个沙哑、友善的声音
“Go away, Mr Wolf”, said the three little pigs. And they quickly shut the door.
“走开，野狼先生” 三只小猪说，他们很快关上门
Knock! Knock! Knock! Who’s that knocking at our little front door?
咚！咚！咚！是谁在敲我们的小前门呢？
“Coming for a drive?” said a charming, cheery voice.
“去兜风吗？”传来一个可爱愉快的声音
“Go away, Mr Wolf”, said the three little pigs. And they quickly shut the door.
“走开，野狼先生” 三只小猪说，他们很快关上门
Knock! Knock! Knock! Who’s that knocking at our little front door?
咚！咚！咚！是谁在敲我们的小前门呢？
“Anyone for a game?” said a hoarse but hopeful voice.
“有谁要玩游戏吗？”传来一个嘶哑、满怀期待的声音
“Go away, Mr Wolf”, said the three little pigs. And they quickly shut the door.
“走开，野狼先生” 三只小猪说，他们很快关上门
Knock! Knock! Knock! Who’s that knocking at our little front door?
咚！咚！咚！是谁在敲我们的小前门呢？
“It’s a lovely day for a swim. Anybody coming with me?”
“今天是个游泳的好天气，有谁要跟我一起去吗？”
“Go away, Mr Wolf”, said the three little pigs. And they quickly shut the door.

“Anybody home?”
“有人在家吗？”
“It’s Daddy!” “Come on in, Daddy. We’ve got lots to tell you.”
